A Whiteriver police officer has found himself on the wrong side of the law following an incident that occurred while on duty on Monday.
While details remain scarce, the White Mountain Apache Police Department has confirmed that one of its officers was taken into custody due to an event that transpired during work hours.
The arrest was carried out by the Show Low Police Department, and according to WMAPD, the officer is now facing criminal charges. The officer is currently on administrative leave.
In a statement posted on social media, the White Mountain Apache Police Department emphasized, “The White Mountain Apache Police Department holds its officers to the highest standards of conduct, both on and off duty. The alleged behavior is a serious matter and does not reflect the values of this department.”
