Vernon Fire responded to a structure fire

On the morning of November 20th,Vernon Fire responded to a structure fire that quickly grew beyond the ability of a single department. Thanks to the fast, coordinated efforts of our mutual aid partners, we were able to bring the fire under control safely and efficiently.
While the structure itself was a total loss, we are grateful to report no injuries to residents or responders. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Incidents like this highlight the importance of strong regional partnerships and the dedication of the firefighters who answer the call at a moment’s notice.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Apache County Sheriff’s Office, Concho Fire Department, Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District, and St. Johns Emergency Services. Your teamwork and professionalism made a difficult incident safer for everyone involved.
