Holbrook, AZ: On August 06, 2025, around 5:15 PM, Deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a tractor-trailer at the Love’s Truck Stop in Joseph City, AZ. First responders arrived at the scene and found Sharmake Mohamud Mohamed, 24, of Minnesota, with critical injuries. Sharmake was given aid from the Joseph City Fire Department and Holbrook EMS and was transported to Little Colorado Medical Center, where he later died.
The investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer was exiting the parking lot when Sharmake was struck and run over. Investigators are actively following leads and seeking any assistance to help identify additional witnesses or further leads related to this event.
