FLAGSTAFF, AZ – Highway Patrol State Troopers responded to reports of a “scrambled” collision on I-40 near Winona Road. A flatbed trailer loaded with steel was legally parked on the emergency lane due to a flat tire with emergency triangles placed behind his vehicle. A truck loaded with eggs failed to properly navigate the curve in the road and collided with the flatbed trailer. The egg truck came to its final rest upright, blocking the westbound traffic lanes and spilling thousands of eggs onto the highway. The flatbed driver was uninjured, and the egg truck driver was transported for non-life-threatening injuries. With the help from ADOT, the road was cleared for regular traffic to resume.
