Holbrook, AZ: On November 18, 2025, at approximately 6:16 PM, a Navajo County Sheriff’s Office deputy was traveling southbound on State Route 77 near Show Low when she observed a medical transport vehicle sparking from underneath.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop near SR 77 and Lone Pine Dam Road. As she approached the vehicle, she saw the cab filling with smoke. Acting swiftly, the deputy evacuated all three occupants, including one individual who required a wheelchair.
When the driver attempted to re-enter the vehicle to retrieve his phone, the deputy safely stopped him, moments before the vehicle ignited further. Shortly after everyone was moved to safety, the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.
Thanks to the deputy’s quick actions, no injuries occurred.
