Arrest Made in Fatal White Mountain Lake Collision

SHOW LOW, AZ. — A Show Low woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal traffic collision that claimed the life of a local firefighter last fall.
Deputies arrested Kilaya Williamson, 21, of Show Low, on January 7, 2026, on a charge of second-degree murder following a months-long investigation. Ms. Williamson was booked into the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook, AZ.
The arrest stems from a two-vehicle collision on October 3, 2025, on Lone Pine Dam Road near milepost 7.5 in the White Mountain Lake area. The crash resulted in the death of Glen Collins, a firefighter with the Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District.
During the course of the investigation, deputies obtained a search warrant for a blood sample after suspecting impairment. Testing conducted with assistance from the Arizona Department of Public Safety Crime Laboratory confirmed the presence of impairing substances in Williamson’s system.
The case has been submitted to the Navajo County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
All persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
