Holbrook, AZ: On July 17, 2025, Navajo County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a sexual offense in the Overgaard area. The initial report included allegations against local business owner Joseph Riccardi, 68, of Heber, owner of New York Eats and Treats. Detectives immediately initiated an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor.
On August 8, 2025, deputies responded to a separate report from Riccardi indicating he was in crisis and in possession of a firearm. Deputies made contact and were able to safely secure Riccardi and the firearm without incident.
Following further investigation and the execution of a search warrant, Riccardi was interviewed and later booked into the Navajo County Jail on charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Sexual Conduct with a Minor. He is being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.

Protecting our most vulnerable and ensuring offenders are held accountable is a top priority. We remain committed to seeking justice for victims and maintaining the safety and trust of our community.”
