PINETOP-LAKESIDE, AZ — Firefighters worked to control a significant fire that destroyed two residences in Pinetop-Lakeside early on Saturday morning.
Shortly after 3:30 a.m., firefighters from multiple agencies responded to a residence located on Mogollon Vista Drive in the Pinetop Country Club area, as reported by the Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District.
Upon arrival, crews from the Pinetop Fire District discovered that the home was completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters reported that propane tanks situated at the rear of the property began to vent, intensifying the fire and spreading it to a second home located directly behind the first.
Firefighters swiftly contained the fire and successfully prevented it from extending to additional residences.
Authorities have confirmed that there were no injuries to residents or firefighters.
Engine 13, Truck 14, Engine 15, Engine 17, Tender 19, Tender 17, Rescue 13, Rescue 14, Battalion 15, Fire 16, and Fire 14 from Timber Mesa responded.
The Pinetop Fire Department is continuing its investigation into the cause and origin of the fire.
